It’s suddenly pretty cold in Raleigh, NC, the city I call home So I’m throwing it back to warmer days this past October in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I love it there and this photo is a really candid shot of me (probably checking some hottie on the beach out) that Alfred shot. In 2020, I decided not to have any real resolutions and just try and live in a way that I am happy with. This includes my fitness because every year I set goals and life gets in the way and I barely meet them. We all have insecurities and, believe it or not, my fitness is a big one for me. Of course, I am happy with the way I am and will continue working out to maintain it etc but I just don’t have time to live in the gym like it seems other guys do. I’m busy running businesses, traveling the world, and living! But I guess the moral in all of this is to be happy regardless while working to better yourself. So here’s to many many speedo beach pics in my future.De repente hace bastante frío en Raleigh, Carolina del Norte, la ciudad a la que llamo hogar. Así que lo voy a devolver a los días más cálidos en octubre pasado en Puerto Vallarta, México. Me encanta allí y esta foto es una foto realmente sincera mía (probablemente mirando a un bombón en la playa) que Alfred tomó. En 2020, decidí no tener ninguna resolución real y solo tratar de vivir de una manera con la que estoy feliz. On our way from Strasbourg to Grenoble, we ended up driving through Germany and Switzerland. Stopping in Bern was a great way to take a break from driving and explore this beautiful capital city. The streets are lined with 15th Century buildings and 16th Century arcades and fountains and everything is perfectly set up because it’s one of the first planned cities in Europe. We spend a lot of time in Grenoble, France. In fact, it’s basically a second home to us. We know people here, have a grocery store we tend to go to, and even have our favorite restaurants and shops. But usually when I’m here, I use the city as a base to explore other parts of the surrounding region. Cue the French transportation strikes going on right now and well... I was stuck. Making the best of a bad a situation is what I do best so I used the time to explore Grenoble a little more and to work and sleep. Here we have the river Isère where you’ll find the Bastille, an amazing archaeology museum, and an abnormally high quantity of pizza joints.There’s beauty everywhere if you just open your eyes.Pasamos mucho tiempo en Grenoble, Francia. De hecho, es básicamente un segundo hogar para nosotros. Conocemos gente aquí, tenemos una tienda de comestibles a la que solemos ir e incluso tenemos nuestros restaurantes y tiendas favoritos. I can go from classily drinking a cup of mulled wine next to the river dressed to the nines to thot it 2.5 seconds...and I ain’t ashamed of it. For the last couple of days I’ve relaxed and slept and recovered from sickness and a strained neck only leaving to get food and do a little shopping. And that’s ok. Sometimes travel doesn’t need to be nonstop exploration and sometimes it can’t be because of strikes (haha). Our first day in Strasbourg was a moody day in more ways than one. The weather was muggy and cold, we drove all day from Troyes, and I was not feeling well at all. But since we only had two days, I sucked it up, picked up a glass of mulled wine, and explored a little anyway. I took a better photo of this area in Le Petit France and will post it later but just love the reflection of the overall mood of the day in this one! In Medieval times wine was used to heal everything and I’m rather on board with that quackery!! We drove from Strasbourg to Grenoble, France today which took us through Germany and then Switzerland. Consequently, we decided to stop in Bern, Switzerland to walk around a bit, stretch our legs, and see its UNESCO designated Old Town. It’s a charming little old town which began being constructed in the 12th Century following a very detailed development plan. That makes it one of the earliest planned cities in Europe. At one point today, Alfred made me rush back to this astrological clock so we could see its automaton in action which were dauntingly underwhelming. But he loves that kind of thing and if you do too then it’s worth it. I’ll definitely return to Bern sometime with more time to explore.Have you been to Bern?Manejamos hoy desde Estrasburgo a Grenoble, Francia, que nos llevó a través de Alemania y luego Suiza. En consecuencia, decidimos parar en Berna, Suiza, para caminar un poco, estirar las piernas y ver su casco antiguo designado por la UNESCO. Oh hey! We are currently in Strasbourg which is located in Northeastern France in the historic Alsace area and is the capital of the Bas-Rhin department. This city sits practically on the border of France and Germany so there is a nice mixture of cultures here. You’ll see lots of French and German words along with cuisine from both countries. And let’s just admire the Cathedral of Notre Dame of Strasbourg. Isn’t she so dramatic!? I love it! Have you been to Strasbourg? ¡Oh hola! Today we drove from Paris to the small town of Troyes to explore a bit! Although I was feeling under the weather (still am), I riled and we walked around the town admiring its Medieval beauty. Troyes is one the best preserved Medieval towns in France and Europe! I even tried a local specialty known as Andouillette and learned quickly it is not my thing.Have you ever heard of Troyes? ¡Hoy manejamos desde París a la pequeña ciudad de Troyes para explorar un poco! During this trip to Paris we are staying in the 3rd arrondissement in Le Marais. Luckily that means we are walking distance to lots of Parisian attractions including this monument known as Tour Saint-Jacques. It is all that remains of the former 16th Century Church Saint Jacques de la Boucherie which was demolished in 1797 during the French Revolution. There’s also a slew of gay bars and a sauna nearby!Durante este viaje a París nos quedaremos en el distrito 3 en Le Marais. A short train ride is all it takes to get from Paris to the Medieval town of Provins and it’s well worth the trip. Located in the former territory of the powerful Counts of Champagne, Provins is home to some of the best preserved medieval urban structures in France including its fortified walls and this beautiful tower. You can walk the walls and go to the top of the tower which is pretty cool. You really feel like your stepping back in time in this town! We even managed to find a gay owned restaurant on the main square! So leave Paris for a day and explore another part of France!Un corto viaje en tren es todo lo que se necesita para llegar desde París a la ciudad medieval de Provins y vale la pena el viaje. Who loves wine as much as I love wine? Well, if you love wine then you definitely need to make it to the Burgundy region of France where you will find some of the best wines in the world. I've visited the small town of Beaune a few times now and my favorite wine ship is called Marche Aux Vins located right next door to the famous Hôtel-Dieu. You can take a wine tasting tour which can cover from 3-11, wines depending on the tasting you purchase and best of all is it is self-led. They have the wine set up for you to go at your own leisure. The shop is also situated in a former church and there's even a Merovingian aristocrat's casket in the cellar. It's truly an amazing experience. ¿Quién ama el vino tanto como yo amo el vino? Bueno, si amas el vino, definitivamente debes llegar a la región de Borgoña, Francia, donde encontrarás algunos de los mejores vinos del mundo. Just about a month ago, I was hanging out in Puerto Vallarta enjoying the warm sun and sand. It's now definitely much colder at home in Raleigh, NC and I am missing warmer temperatures. So, this weekend I am heading to Las Vegas for a short trip for warmer temperatures and a break from the cold. I've actually never been so it's exciting and you can guarantee that I'll be trying my hand at a little blackjack.
