My wanderlust is really never going to be satisfied. I crave the feeling of being lost in a city I've never walked through. I love to wander from here to there discovering bits and pieces of history. To me, there is nothing more wonderful than the thrill of exploration. Finding beauty in the incredible and the mundane and learning about one's self and others is what it's all about. But inevitable life changes. Even in the midst of those changes, I never tire of travel.Mi pasión por los viajes realmente nunca se va a satisfacer. Have you ever heard of the Neon Museum in Las Vegas? Well, as you know, I am a sucker for quirky and bizarre museums and this is one of the coolest and unique museums I've ever been to. When you think of Las Vegas, you definitely think of gambling, showgirls, and flashy lights but many a casino has come and gone so what happens to their mesmerizing neon lighting? Well, many (if not most) have ended up at this 2.62 acre museum where you can walk through to see and experience an interesting aspect of Las Vegas history. It feels like you've entered some fabulous post-apocalyptic world and definitely makes for some amazing photos! ¿Alguna vez has oído hablar del Museo de Neón en Las Vegas? Bueno, como saben, soy un fanático de los museos extravagantes y extraños y este es uno de los museos más geniales y únicos en los que he estado. During my time in Ecuador, I boarded a luxury trai

During my time in Ecuador, I boarded a luxury train and embarked on an incredible journey from the Andes in the Northern part of Ecuador to the coastal regions in the South. We traveled through mountainous, semi-arid, cloud forest, rain forest, and coastal terrains all what stopping off in small towns where we experienced the local culture. One of my favorite stops was in the small town of Guamote where it happened to be market day. Walking through this remote village inhabited by mostly indigenous peoples and doing a little shopping was such an incredible experience. I put in the top 10 travel moments for me.Durante mi estadía en Ecuador, abordé un tren de lujo y me embarqué en un viaje increíble desde los Andes en la parte norte de Ecuador hasta las regiones costeras en el sur. Viajamos a través de montañas, semiáridos, bosques nubosos, bosques lluviosos y terrenos costeros, parando en pequeñas ciudades donde experimentamos la cultura local. Grenoble is a city I know very well located in the French Alps. A lot of people have negative things to say about the city but I am certain they've never spent very much time in it. The city has a cute historic center filled with shops and yummy restaurants and is surrounded by the beautiful Alps. This is Place Victor Hugo which is one of the main squares of the city. As you can see, it is quite charming.Grenoble es una ciudad que conozco muy bien ubicada en los Alpes franceses. Mucha gente tiene cosas negativas que decir sobre la ciudad, pero estoy seguro de que nunca han pasado mucho tiempo en ella. Heading to NYC? Well, if you go there often then maybe take a day to head upstate to Sleepy Hollow. Yep, that Sleepy Hollow...the one from the the Legend of the Headless Horseman. You can see many of the places mentioned in the story including Phillipsburg Manor which is where you can step back in time and see how things were done during the time period when the story takes place. It's a time when New York was actually called New Amsterdam...and the Dutch were in charge. Fascinating stuff. ¿Te diriges a Nueva York? Our trip to Panama City in Panama was actually really spur of the moment. Alfred had to go for a work trip and I tagged along. Exploring the city on my own was quite the experience. Panama City isn't like your typical touristic city in that it is currently in recovery. I think tourism is picking up but still hasn't hit critical levels. That means the city is able to start preserving its historic district! As you walk through Panama City, you'll notice vivid colors and beautiful colonial architecture. It's a wanderers dream!Nuestro viaje a la ciudad de Panamá fue realmente un impulso del momento. Alfred tuvo que ir a un viaje de trabajo y yo lo acompañé. Explorar la ciudad por mi cuenta fue toda una experiencia. La ciudad de Panamá no es como su típica ciudad turística, ya que actualmente se encuentra en recuperación. Creo que el turismo está repuntando, pero aún no ha alcanzado niveles críticos. ¡Eso significa que la ciudad puede comenzar a preservar su distrito histórico! Alfred looking cute drinking his mulled wine as we explored Strasbourg earlier this year. Strasbourg is a beautiful place to visit and is famous for its Christmas markets. However, we learned from locals that they don't really like the Christmas season because their city gets overrunned by tourists. So, we were lucky to be there earlier enough in the year to see the decorations without all the tourists!Alfred se ve lindo bebiendo su vino caliente mientras exploramos Estrasburgo a principios de este año. As soon as you get off the train, the first thing you notice is the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde off in the distance perched on a hill overlooking the city. Welp! I’m home for a bit because we are on the verge of being in the middle of full on remodel of our kitchen, dining area, living room, and foyer. Literally one quarter of our house will be ripped out and modernized. It’s super exciting b it quite stressful. In any case, for now I’m producing the backlog of travel articles and videos for all of you on top of planning a few trips for this year. Some potential places coming up include Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, Huntington Beach, and Sonoma California as well as France, Mexico, more of Europe, and Ft. Lauderdale. There’ll be a few surprise destinations along the way too. So stay tuned!Bueno! Today I am throwing is way back to about five years when Alfred and I journeyed to the Galapagos Islands with the Nomadic Boys for an adventure at the top of our bucket list. We explored multiple islands, experienced tons of wildlife encounters both on land and in the sea, and made some of the best memories together. It was quite the experience and was a one in a lifetime trip that we will never forget. I don't normally post photos of animals but this is definitely a cool travel post. While I visited Havana, Cuba, I noticed lots of stray dogs roaming around the city. Most of them had these tags attached to their collars which I found peculiar. I met up with a local who showed me around and explained that the government of Havana actually takes care of these dogs. They are bathed, receive healthcare, and are fed everyday. The tags on their collars are their license and they are allowed to roam free. It's so interesting! It's also interesting that the government seems to take better care of stray dogs than they do their own people. Nevertheless, I do love that the dogs are taken care of!Normalmente no publico fotos de animales, pero esta es definitivamente una publicación de viaje genial. Mientras visitaba La Habana, Cuba, noté que muchos perros callejeros deambulaban por la ciudad. La mayoría de ellos tenían estas etiquetas adheridas a sus collares, lo que me pareció peculiar. Me reuní con un local que me mostró los alrededores y me explicó que el gobierno de La Habana realmente cuida a estos perros. Se bañan, reciben atención médica y se alimentan todos los días. Staying on the theme of parks, Central Park in NYC is one of the most visited urban parks in the United States and probably one of the most famous in the entire world. It covers an area of nearly 2.1 miles (3.41 km) and is located right in the middle of Manhattan. The park is a breath of fresh air, literally, in the concrete jungle that is New York City. It's possible to feel completely secluded in this parks depths and I think that's part of the beauty of it.Manteniéndose en el tema de los parques, Central Park en Nueva York es uno de los parques urbanos más visitados de los Estados Unidos y probablemente uno de los más famosos del mundo. In Raleigh, NC (my home base) we have a pretty awesome art museum that's filled with really great African American art, Rodin sculptures, and lots of European religious artwork as well as artwork by great North Carolina artists. In total the museum features over 40 galleries of art from all across the world and the United States. But my favorite part of the museum is the museum's park which spans 164 acres and is filled with larger than life works of art and sculptures like the one pictured here. It's actually the largest museum park in the United States.En Raleigh, Carolina del Norte (mi base de operaciones) tenemos un museo de arte bastante impresionante que está lleno de arte afroamericano, esculturas de Rodin y muchas obras de arte religioso europeo, así como obras de arte de grandes artistas de Carolina del Norte. One of my favorite memories of visiting Louisiana

One of my favorite memories of visiting Louisiana in the Deep South of the United States was heading out on a swamp tour. The guide took us way, way out into the swamp. We were isolated and all we could hear was the sound of nature. That’s when I discovered one my new favorite trees, the Bald Cypress. They can live to be hundreds of years old, grow enormously tall, and at one point this swamp would have been covered with them. Unfortunately logging at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th Century reduced their numbers down. They’re protected now as the state tree of Louisiana!Uno de mis recuerdos favoritos de visitar Louisiana en el sur profundo de los Estados Unidos era salir en una gira por los pantanos.
