Ptown is just one of those places gay men and women and transgender people can feel free to be themselves. It’s unpretentious and the town has a come-as-you-are attitude. Situated at the tip of Cape Cod off the coast of Massachusetts, you’ll find all types of people visiting this town including muscle jocks, twinks, bears, otters, families, artists, drag queens, and more. As soon I step off the ferry, I take a deep breath as I know I’m about to have a fantastic week. Walking towards Commercial Street, rainbow flags decorate overhead and people saunter about chatting with friends, window shopping (literally and figuratively), and generally enjoying their leisure time. I’ve put together a list of 15 great spots in Ptown you can enjoy depending on what you’re looking for.
It doesn’t matter where you come from, the Ptown atmosphere sort of forces relaxation and it’s quite lovely. Now, if it’s your first time visiting, you might feel a little overwhelmed. There are a plethora of restaurants, bars, and attractions as well…so use this quick guide as a starting point to discover 15 great spots in Ptown I think everyone should experience. I’ve listed quite a few of my favorite places and things to do and you should check out some of them when you visit.
