Thoughts From The Road: Let Happiness Be Your Driving Force

Let happiness be your driving force.

If you want or need motivation, happiness is the best because it is a positive aspect of life. Many people are motivated by a diversity of things. Sometimes we do things out of fear or greed. People stay at the same boring jobs because they are afraid of economic failure for themselves. Their fear and sometimes greed is a motivating factor. It helps them maintain the status quo and keeps them from feeling fulfilled.

However, if we allow happiness to motivate us, then we become focused on the most important things in life. We realize we don’t have time to waste on useless projects and fruitless endeavors. Happiness allows us to make decisions using both our brains and our hearts. When we become motivated by these things, some might call them passions, we find we do not have enough time but we never feel as though we are working.

There is no time for negativity or unhealthy appetites.

Negative people we may have once allowed to have a presence in our life suddenly vanish and our entire outlook improves. Don’t waste time doing things that do not make you happy. We have a limited quantity of time in this life so let’s make sure we are focusing on the quality of our endeavors.

Happiness is way a life.

Positive living, with a focus on ultimate happiness, is not simply a perspective. It’s a way of life. When we dedicate ourselves to the perpetuation of happiness then we choose to spread it. And boy, does it spread! Happiness is contagious and you’ll notice more and more people around you seem to be happy as well. But spreading happiness is a way to stamp out that other contagious sentiment- misery.

In order to ensure this is a constant, we must be weary of the people in our lives. The company we keep can affect the direction we take. We mustn’t surround ourselves with negative people as they will influence our motivations.

So choose to be happy today and commit. It’s simple and once you do, it becomes easier and easier to keep a positive outlook on life.
